Find-A-Grave
The obvious post would be Find-A-Grave. Great way to find information on location, dates, relation, etc. The link is http://www.findagrave.com/
Re: Find-A-Grave
My grandfather who was killed when his truck was hit by a train and my aunt who died at age seven are listed on this website along with their obituaries and pictures of their grave stones. I have e-mailed the authors several times but never get a response. You would think that they would have to get the permission of family members before publishing something like this. What are your views on this?
Re: Find-A-Grave
What exactly is the issue at hand? I know that all of this information is public record and therefore accessible by anyone. Is there some reason you would not want their graves recognized? It is also possible that someone from another branch of their family posted it themselves...usually obituaries are added by family members.
Re: Find-A-Grave
I posted several ancestors grave site and birth and death details on Find A Grave yesterday. I am careful to not list anything that would be inappropriate or connect to living relatives, but I do think that the rest of my family is appreciative of my taking the time to post the details.
